TPM HAS LOST BYU APPROVAL!
Local management company, "Total Property Management" also known as "TPM" which manages over 50 properties in the area, including many larger complexes, just lost its BYU approval. All owners of properties managed by TPM have been given approximately 6 weeks to procure a new management company before losing their approval.

I wish I had seen this blog before we signed up with TPM to have them manage our condos.
They have been AWFUL. They don't do any actual managing unless you call and call and force them to do it. They just make excuses and lie to homeowners claiming "Oh, I never got that message..." or " don't know anything about that, I'll have to check with [whoever is unreachable at the moment] to see what's going on with that..."

I agree with the fact that you should do your research prior to signing up with any company, but in doing that research you also need to be able to verify that the source is a legitimate one. I have worked with TPM for several years and have loved their response to me. They are very honest and they understand what rentals are about. If the rental needs work the owner has to understand that, and be willing to pay or do the repairs themself. I have never had a problem reaching the managers and have had great success with TPM. I would reccomend them to anyone and everyone.
The problem with all the complaints about managment companies is that the names aren't trademarked. So, if I look up Total Management I may get 30 companies in different states with the same dam name. People don't pay attention when they look-up reviews on management companies and figure they have 30 branches when it isn't. In Arizona there is a Total Management but is it part of the same company? Who knows. How much more complicated can management companies make it for us.

TPM continues to screw people!!!! If I wanted to screw my worst enemy, I'd send them to TPM(Provo)....
